The courses are affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), through the Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET), Government of India in the Ministry of labour, New Delhi. Some of the trades and units in this I.T.I are also run under approval of State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).
Introduction: ITI(industrial training institute) is constituted under DGET(Directorate general employment and training), Ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship, and Union government to provide training in various trades.
Apprenticeship Training Scheme: after completing ITI,tradesman can undergo apprenticeship training in different industries. The scheme is implemented by the directorate general of training under MSDE.apprenticeship training is generally one year for those appeared in final exam.i.e.AITT.for freshers usually it takes three years. During the training trainees are paid stipend On monthly basis.
Placement: private MNCs are tied up with ITIs for apprenticeship programme, campus placement under MSDE to provide skilled workforce.even in the government sector one can apply for apprentice/job in govt PSUs like BHEL,IOCL,BPCL,Indian Railway,Isro,etc.
Introduction: A diploma course is a short term course (usually 1 to 2 years in duration) that focuses on training a person in a particular field.
Career Scope: After a diploma, you can either enroll for a degree course or look for jobs. For example, in universities like Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, you can enroll in a B.Tech in Computer Science course, after you complete your diploma course. In that case, you will be directly given admission to second year. It is generally very difficult to get admitted to a higher degree after only a diploma course. In order to do so, you need to pursue a course for at least 1 or 2 more years, after your diploma.
